Montrose County had Ultra TUFF polyurethane coating applied to the exterior steps of the Montrose County Courthouse which is on the National Register of Historic Places. The County chose Ultra TUFF for several reasons, available colors was a concern in meeting the requirements to match existing conditions, the finish had to provide a non-slip surface for public access to the Courthouse, and the product had to be waterproof to prevent water from entering the lower level entry.
